Just got back home yesterday from KC and have to say I am still high on the Lips gig at the Sprint Center opening for The Black Keys. What a show! Just wish we could of had more from them.

I covered the concert for iamnotjerry and it was my 1st Lips experience. Spending the 1 st songs in the pit was a trip. I am going to try and catch Forecastle in July.

I loved the KC show, too. It was awe inspiring. The lights were fantastic, and I like the extra guitar player--really revs it up a little and gets closer to the 90s style. There was decent energy considering half the crowd probably didn't know Lips from Adam. I was yelling loud while people next to me were in stunned, jaw-opened silence. Get into the concert ON TIME, and you will see the Lips slay the Keys and ride the tiger (the Black Keys were very good, just not on the same level).
