We are seeing the Flamming Lips tomorrow at Forecastle and we both decided that the first song we are playing for our wedding in October will be "Do You Realize?" We feel like that song reminds us how precious we are to one another and makes us happy to have each other. We joke about how awesome it would be if the Flamming Lips played at our wedding *wink, wink*, but I think we would settle for a shout out tomorrow. -Troy Tucker

Oh, too bad I didn't see your post sooner (like a year ago). Turns out Flaming Lips don't give two turds about who you're in love with (their lyrics are all very personal, really YOU are in love, we'll make your own song!). I say this b/c they made a soundtrack for the mind of homophobe Orson Scott Card to get some more bucks in their wallet. They gave some piss ant "lip" service to the LGBT community and they deleted my last post from their precious message board. Real Fearless Freaks...La-hoo-Sa-Hers. Leave them off your invitations to marry, they don't care.
