Nate was born on October 25, 1985 in Fridley, Minnesota. Although born in Minnesota he spent most of his early childhood in the Bay Area of California before moving back to Minnesota around the age of ten. Nate earned a bachelor’s degree in business management from the University of Wisconsin River Falls. Nate’s education continues with an ongoing mentorship with Michael Boyd, Director of Foci Minnesota Center for Glass Arts. Mentorships with other artists such as David Royce, and workshops attended such as the Blow Your Mind workshop with Charles Lowrie and Michael Menconi served to further develop Nate’s education. Since participating in various exhibitions at the Foci’s own gallery Nate started to begin to exhibit his own work at various art shows throughout Minnesota during the summer of 2011. Nate exhibited his work at such art shows as the Stone Arch Bridge Art Show, the Powderhorn Art Show in Minneapolis, and the Park Point Art Show in Duluth, Minnesota where Nate was awarded Best in Glass.
