Yeah, I see the unfortunate irony in posting this, so it's clear where you stand, but a clear majority of folks commenting across the www about this situation see it quite differently, myself included.

Wow, mean spirited. some bands could get away with that, but if your brand has been being the psychedelic ambassadors of good will at festivals, being publicly mean spirited and petty might be the wrong move. tone deaf.
